About The Walk
YOU WILL BE IN THE GROUP 2 STARTING AT 10.30
A walk and tour (in 2 groups with staggered starts) along the Stroudwater canal to Westfield Bridge and beyond into the 'Missing Mile' where a new canal will be constructed across open fields, passing under the M5 and joining the canal at the A38 roundabout. You will learn how plans are progressing, the key role of volunteers on the project, the engineering design challenges and the strategic benefits of the project for our communities, environment, heritage and economic development.
Terrain can be rough and boggy in the fields.
Coffee cart available on the Ship Inn Community Space from 9.30
Free bus after the walk from Fromebridge Mill at 13.30.
Dogs allowed (on leads).
