The Walkfest programme includes four grades of walks:
Health Walk: for people who are not regular walkers or are returning from injury or illness; designed to improve health in a safe, relaxed, and sociable environment.
Easy: mainly level terrain along pavements, footpaths, and fields.
Moderate: short sections with gradients and/or rough terrain; any climb taken at a relaxed pace.
Hard: a longer distance, some sustained steeper slopes needing a good level of stamina.
