Canal and Common - Cotswold Way Loop

This walk has recently been changed due to original walk leader's ill health. It is now much shorter (7 miles) as the weather is likely to be very hot. We will go up Selsey Common and return along the canal.

About The Walk
Starting in Stonehouse Car Park we pick up the Cotswold Way via the vineyard and make our way up via Kings Stanley and Middleyard, through the woods and onto the top of Selsey Common where we may encounter cows, but we certainly will get great views. After a quick stop to admire them, we descend past the church and through fields of sheep to Kitsch cafe on the Stroudwater canal. This is our 5 mile point. After a snack/drink there we follow the canal back to Stonehouse. 7 miles in total. Will be back around 2.30pm.
Bring food and lots of water.
Wear suitable footwear and clothing.
Wear sunscreen
Dogs allowed though if hot probably not advised
