About The Walk
Once out of the town we climb to follow the Cotswold Way National Trail for much of the walk (900ft of ascent). From sheltered beech woodlands and over the rich open grassland of Selsley Common we guide you around remnants of an industrial past that shaped the landscape. Contrasting the grandeur of Victorian Mills alongside the sleepy beauty of the waterway, an Arts & Craft church and calcareous grassland with wildflowers. This journey between past and present reveals other facets of the glorious Cotswolds. There will be an easy walk back alongside the Stroudwater canal.
