About The Walk
The canal at Fromebridge has been closed since March of this year and is planned to open in August, in time for the Stonehouse Walking Festival. The restoration of this section of canal and the creation of a new nature reserve at Fromebridge is shown on our website. On this walk you will learn about the restoration of the canal, the creation of the new nature reserve and the benefits this will bring to wildlife and communities, preserving our heritage and the future of the Cotswold Canals.
Free return shuttle bus at 09.30 from Stonehouse car park or join the walk at 10.00 from Fromebridge Mill.
Some rough terrain with gates and stiles.
Dogs allowed though we may encounter cows.
