About The Walk
On this walk, local arboriculturist and founder of the Stonehouse Community Arboretum John Parker will give a tour of some of the most interesting trees through the fields on the way to Eastington, including Coneygree orchard, and ending at the Badger Inn.
We will discuss the importance of trees to people and nature, and some of the social history of trees and green spaces in Stonehouse.
Return via public bus, or stop for lunch (order in advance) with easy walk back along the canal, or if more adventurous, through fields behind the Badger.
Wear good walking boots as fields can be boggy, and we may encounter cattle en-route so please be aware of this if bringing a dog.
Walk Leader: John Parker
