About The Walk
A tour of the Stonehouse Community Arboretum.
On this walk, local arboriculturist and founder of the Stonehouse Community Arboretum John Parker will give a tour of Doverow wood and the fields around it. We will discuss the importance of trees to people and nature, and some of the social history of trees and green spaces in Stonehouse.
John will also give us a flavour of his new book: The History of Doverow Wood, Stonehouse including the Doverow rising of 1862.
Wear suitable walking boots as can be muddy.
Dogs allowed.
