Bat Discovery Walk (2026)

A circular walk to locate and identify the bats in the area around the churchyard, canal and countryside. Distance covered will depend upon what we encounter as this is a walk to help participants gain insights into these often misunderstood and maligned mammals rather than putting in the miles! 

• Bat detectors will be available but those joining the walk are invited to bring their own. 

• Please bring a torch and wear clothing appropriate to the conditions including long trousers and walking boots. 

• In the event of rain, the event will be postponed.

• No dogs please.
